Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-01
Operated by: Asimio Tech LLC, doing business as "VolleyVision"

VolleyVision is currently in an early pilot phase with a small number of users. These policies describe our current practices in plain terms and will be reviewed and updated as the platform grows.

1. What We Collect

Account information — name, age, email, role (player/coach/club admin), and club affiliation.

Video footage — training videos uploaded by coaches, clubs, players, or a parent/guardian on a player's behalf.

Derived biomechanical data — pose keypoints, spike timing, phase classifications (approach, takeoff, arm cocking, arm acceleration, follow-through, landing), and other metrics computed from uploaded footage.

Usage data — basic logs (login times, pages visited) used for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies — used only for session/login purposes (e.g., keeping you signed in). VolleyVision does not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

2. How We Use It

  • To provide the Service: processing video into pose data, spike detection, overlays, and performance summaries visible to the associated coach, club, and player
  • To improve detection accuracy over time
  • To communicate service-related updates (e.g., a processed training session is ready)

VolleyVision does not sell personal information or video footage to third parties.

3. Where Data Is Stored

Video and derived data are stored on Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS) with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the account's associated club/coach/player and to VolleyVision for service operation and support.

4. Age-Based Handling of Player Data

  • VolleyVision uses a single, invitation-only signup form for all account types. The account holder — the player if 13 or older, or a parent/guardian on behalf of a player under 13 — completes that form and confirms the age/consent statement described in Terms of Service, Section 3. A coach or club may originate the invitation but may not complete registration on a minor's behalf.
  • Once a player account is created, the player may use that account directly — including entering player profile information, such as age, used to track training progress over time. This applies regardless of whether the player or a parent/guardian completed the original signup.
  • Access to a minor's footage and analytics is limited to the player's own account (if applicable) and the coach(es)/club administrators who added them. It is never made public or searchable.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Video and derived data are retained for as long as the account is active.
  • Players, coaches, parents/guardians, or clubs may request deletion of data by contacting privacy@volleyvision.tech.
  • Upon a valid deletion request, footage and derived analytics are deleted within 90 days.
  • Data collected from children under 13 is not retained indefinitely and is deleted once no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, consistent with current children's privacy rules.

6. Your Rights

You (or, for a player under 13, their parent/guardian) may request to:

  • Access the personal data VolleyVision holds
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete the account and associated data
  • Review what was collected and refuse further collection

7. Security

VolleyVision uses encryption for data in transit and at rest, and restricts access to authorized personnel and systems necessary to operate the Service.

8. Changes to This Policy

VolleyVision may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
